How to fix the error – Destination folder already exists

Reason

This error is happen, when old version of same theme is already installed in your WordPress.

Fix

There are several way to fix the error. You can follow this ways:

  1. Delete the current theme version from WordPress Dashboard.
  2. Delete the current theme version using any FTP client from this directory (/wp-content/themes).
  3. Rename the old theme folder with any other name like ‘theme-old’ for example.
